snoqualmie falls fail









beautiful, but borderline unpleasant ride our to snoqualmie @ 95 degrees in full leathers.  unfortunately, the trail down to the falls was closed that day...  bummer!

just found out someone stole my credit card info...

diy faraday cage

you'll need the following:

  • tin box
  • plug
  • speaker wire
  • metal mesh (i used a wall patch)
  • heavy duty shears
  • screws + bolts + washers
  • mylar (i used a space blanket)


first thing you should do is prep the plug by removing the un-needed prongs...



next, prep the speaker wire...



mount the speaker wire to the plug like so...



here's what it'll look like when you're done:



next, you'll want to cut a hole in the tin + cover it w/ the metal mesh. luckily, the metal mesh from the wall patch is sticky, which helps hold it in place when you mount it w/ the screws + bolts + washers. you'll also want to stick the exposed speaker wire threads in between the layers of metal mesh, like so...



lastly, you'll want to stuff the box w/ the mylar space blanket to help insulate you little cage:
